Last fall I was in their parts room and the person who helped me told me that it is a power steering that is leaking and they have had a lot of problems with this on that particular tractor. That is the first time anyone has told me anything of that sort. We have a Kubota Dealer in Presque Isle but I would not take anything there to be fixed, that place is overcharging and takes forever to get anything done.
I like the BX, it is a good tractor, but right know we can't even use it for you can't keep any oil in it. I purchased this tractor, made all my payments and get letters all the time wanting to sell me a new one. We have a 2 HST 72 that was more hydraulic than this tractor this one has but no one ever wanted to fix the problems so why would we even consider buying another tractor.

We have owned 3 new Kubota's in the last 20 years and if you ever want to sell me another one someone need to fix the oil leaks and the floor board that they told me they would come and get the tractor as soon as it came in. Kubota has a good product but I tried out a new New Holland and I have to say I was impressed except for the hydraulic strength. Can someone please tell me why my tractor has never been fixed? It has not been because I have given someone a hard time. I was promised but no one ever carried through.
I like a Kubota tractor and I know several who have them but they all tell me "you have not used me very good" and that could be a cause for them to change when a next new tractor is purchased. A great dealership With about hours on it, a problem with the loader control valve developed. I contacted a more local Kubota dealer to save money on the trucking fees. Not a great dealership The tractor was still under warranty or I would have fixed it myself.
On June 29th the tractor was picked up at my house by Pocono Power Center. On June 30th I received a call saying that there was something wrong with the loader control valve and that it's about 5 hours work to take it apart and that they would let me know what they find. I heard nothing back from them. So on Friday July 3rd I called and left a message because no one answered the phone. I called again on Monday July 6th and was told that a service technician hasn't been in since Tuesday June 30th but he is due in the next day which would be July 7th.
I made several more calls and on one of those calls I was told that they just got approval from Kubota to order a new control valve because the parts to fix the valve are not sold separately. On Wednesday July 15th I was told that they just got the new control valve in the day before and they should be able to get it done the next day.
It is now Friday July 17th and I was told I wouldn't be getting my tractor back today and that the service department doesn't work on Saturdays. To date they have had my tractor 22 days. This is an unacceptable amount of time. I am extremely frustrated that they have had the new valve for 4 days now and have not yet put it in.
Kubota Package Deals
When I spoke to the manager he said since I didn't buy it there it wasn't a priority. I recommend that something be done about this dealership. I love my tractor but will never buy another Kubota because of the crappy service provided by this dealership. I had rear main seal replaced by Kubota a year ago and it started leaking again and blew out all the oil and overheated!
Now I need to replace engine. Shouldn't a seal last longer than 1 year? So I contacted Kubota direct and after two attempts [the first one was a bit of a rant]. I was contacted by the factory rep, Matt; he told me he agreed with the dealer, but he would be willing to look at photos or video. I sent him several photos and explained the damage was not a result of abuse but a defect in manufacturing.
He responded and we met at the dealership about three weeks ago. He examined the mower deck discovering that the bearings in the mandrills had enough wear to cause the excessive vibration. After submitting a pre-authorization, Burke Equipment decided to give a full refund plus new blades and belt.
Also, the mandrills were rebuilt. It pays to be patient and go through the channels. I should also point out that if you look up stress fracture on Wikipedia it is not recognized as a legally binding form of damage. Physicist disagree.

So if you have a warranty issue, take photos of your damage, do your research, be packet, post on Consumer Affairs. Over views. Your business is valuable. I purchased my Zero turn lawn mower from Burke equipment in Delmar De. I have cut a lot of grass over the years and speak with plenty of experience with wear and tear.
If you look at the picture of my "commercial" grade mower deck with a 48 month warranty, this is about as unlikely as it gets. I was about to make my last pass cutting my brother's yard when it sounded like I had picked up a piece of plastic with the blades. I disengaged the mower and raised the deck. Not only had the deck fractured, the K lift assembly had sheared off the connecting pin and ripped the deck lift attachment apart. Afterwards I found several other fractures on the deck. I had changed the blades about 1 month ago and never noticed any fractures or broken welds.
I haven't gotten the parts in and I am having the dealer repair the K lift. I will make updates if necessary. In conclusion I would not recommend buying a Kubota product. I paid a premium compared to the competition's product. Kubota does not hold up. It isn't worth what you pay for it. They don't stand behind it.
Kubota fuel pump - We bought new, had recommended service at 50 hrs then had trouble starting. Returned to service dept. Problem still not fixed, returned to service dept. The hydraulics for the grapple run so hot that the heat goes through the entire hydraulic system. It got so hot that I burnt my leg on the console that you drive the machine from.
The dealer is try but Kubota has done less than nothing. I bought a Kubota tractor in October and called today to make a appointment for a small leak on the front axle, the tractor has 93 hours on it. First thing they say is it a wear part and that it is not under warranty for 2 years. So what is a wear part, pretty much anything on the tractor I guess so the warranty is crap. I even called corporate and they said they would see what they could do. I was smart enough to go and talk to a sales rep about a new tractor at the dealership, guess what, he says the new one is covered everything for 24 months.
So when I revealed what I was there for, his knowledge changed and said "well it is up to the service dept. Kubota needs to get it straight, does it have a warranty or not? I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau in Kansas to make a complaint even though after arguing with them they are now going to fix it. I love the tractors but this is just robbery to make a 2 year bumper to bumper warranty and then try and refuse to warranty anything.
This is not a wear part either, it is a cap plug on the bottom of the right side of the from axle that takes a o-ring to fix. I will never buy another tractor with Kubota on it. This occurred at Coleman Bonner springs KS. My Kubota bx is three years old. Began to run very rough. I changed the fuel filters and bled the injectors.
It ran good for a few hours then the same issue.

I called the Kubota dealer and was told it was a fuel issue and to drain the tank and replace the fuel filters. I did that and it ran for a few more hours and again the same issue. The dealer suggested replacing the fuel pump. I did that and the fuel filters again. It ran great for a much longer time than when it got to less than half a tank of fuel it started the same issue again. I filled it with fuel and it is running good so far. I'm stumped. I would not think this should happen in hours of use. I will never buy another Kubota tractor.
This is a 24HP gas model with a 60" Mower deck and electric steering. This has been a great machine up to The electric steering has developed a flaw where it is continually receiving a signal to turn right. No change. The dealer returned the machine stating that it was fixed. Not true. The dealer now has no idea how to repair it. They say they have been in contact with Kubota for assistance. None has come yet. I have written to Kubota asking for assistance.
They have not responded to my letters. I asked the Kubota dealer if Kubota made a model that was similar to mine. I require the power steering. They said no! Only models with 2 cylinder Kohler engines in them and no power steering. I asked if Kubota made a machine that my mower deck and snow blower would fit. The dealer said no. After checking the Kubota website the model GR is a replacement but with hydrostatic steering and a diesel engine.
I am certain that the hook ups for the accessories is the same as mine. They did not want to deal with me. I figure they did not want a trade-in that they couldn't fix. I purchased a Kubota tractor, the dealer was effective on the phone and when I went to complete the sale, they were horribly incompetent and acted if they could care less if they sold the unit. That said, when I inquired about having to sell the tractor and my option to have potential buyer with good credit assume the contract and make the remaining payments, the Texas office gave me much trouble over it.
The person I spoke with was full of herself with a God complex issuing judgement day and assuring me that they could take up to 6 weeks to decide if they would even consider, much less allow it. After reading the posts, I could only speculate that rather than I replacing my credit with another payee, they would rather force a foreclosure and sell the loan off to one of their shareholders buying negative assets.
What a Ponzi scheme this practice is. I purchased a new L Kubota tractor in The unit currently has approximately hours and is garaged except during the summer season when used. During the first year of use I experienced difficulty when attempting to disengage the PTO. The PTO engagement switch is located to the right and just behind the operator seat. When engaging the PTO the switch lever is moved back, pulling a multi-strand metal cable housed in a vinyl cable housing, which pulls an engagement lever mounted on the tractor engine housing.
The problem is that when attempting to disengage the PTO, the flimsy cable kinks instead of pushing the engagement lever forward to disengage the PTO. I complained about this to my dealer, who advised that Kubota had redesigned the switch. I purchased the "redesigned" switch and bracket assembly and installed it. It was virtually identical to the prior assembly and predictably performed no better. It appears the replacement assembly is now also close to failure and I need to replace the cable once again eventually it breaks where the cable "kinks" during attempted disengagement.
Kubota can fix this poorly designed and dangerous switch by 1 using a single strand, stiff cable instead of the current multi-strand cable, or 2 putting a tubular housing around the cable at the switch end to prevent the cable from kinking when disengagement is attempted, or 3 mounting a stiff spring to the motor housing and connects to the engagement lever that has sufficient force to retract the engagement lever to the disengaged position when the manual switch is moved to the disengagement position.
While I have been extremely satisfied with all other aspects of my Kubota tractor, as a customer I am extremely dissatisfied with how Kubota has pretended the PTO switch is not a big enough problem to warrant a simple re-design. The inability to disengage the PTO and any attachment being operated off the PTO is a significant safety problem that could easily result in severe injury or death to those operating the tractor or who might be attempting to disengage the implement. Perhaps Kubota expects its customers to come up with the ad hoc responses to its defective engineering as I have, but this problem i.
I post this notice because I believe other owners of this product should be aware of the safety issues the PTO switch presents; to provide suggested solutions to mitigate the injury risks involved; and to motivate Kubota to do more than sell so-called "improved" replacement assemblies that don't resolve this potentially serious problem. I have had BX25 for four years, use it all the time and it is a real workhorse.
Just bought a 0 turn mower and it quit working the first time I tried to mow. Everyone that I know that has a Kubota really likes them, but the service from the dealer is horrible. I broke a small hydraulic line then they said ok in a week. When came back they had not looked at it and said it would be 3 more weeks. I have a larger and better equipped shop at my house than the one in Seguin Texas. It took longer to drive into town a get the part than to do the repair. I suggest that you find an independent shop to work on them but the machine is very well built.
Because of its dated appearance and because we thought a newer tractor would be easier to operate, we purchased a Kubota. We asked the staff to make sure the tractor we would purchase would be able to hand the work involved before we made the purchase, and initially there were a few repairs that were honored by the company. The reason given, that we had a similar repair already, and it was assumed the operator was travelling too fast or hit something. Never in the twenty years, did we have a repair anywhere near the cost of this repair by Kubota, which we will now have to pay.
We have been left with the impression that Kubota is fine for someone who wants to play around the yard, but we would not invest in one again for real work. Bought a new SLV90 skid loader in May and they have a warranty on the tracks for hours and they are supposed to replace the tracks for free if they wear out before the hours or a year, whichever is first. The tracks did not even make it halfway. At hours they were already showing signs of problems with the cables inside the tracks starting to come apart. By hours they were completely trashed. Submitted a claim for the warranty on the tracks and of course, it was denied.
Tried to fight the denial and appeal it, again denied. No explanation, no discussion. The dealer just said they are calling it a wear issue and not a faulty track. First of all, it is obvious from the pictures that you can see where the cables inside the tracks have broken allowing the tracks to come apart. They certainly didn't wear anywhere close to hours or a year. We have been fighting this for a month now. Well within the year and hour warranty, these tracks are the picture of a claim that should be warrantied. There has been no work performed with this machine except basic clean up on a project site where utility lines were laid.
Nothing abusive, nothing out of the ordinary for what this machine is designed for. The attitude from Kubota is you signed the agreement to buy it, so you have to pay every last penny you owe for the machine, but we do not really have to hold up our end of the deal and warranty what we said we would.
In fact, we don't even have to explain ourselves. That's just how it will be. This is the same as lying and stealing from their customers. This is false advertising as far as I am concerned. If they have no intention of warrantying anyone's track claims, they should not be advertising a warranty on the tracks at all. Now I have a machine that is down that can't perform, that I STILL have to pay for each month, AND now I have to rent another machine to take its place until this is settled OR buy another set of tracks and basically Kubota gets off scot-free without having to keep their bargain.
I am mad as can be that I have to pay them for what I agreed but they seem to think they do not have to come through with what they agreed to do. What a lemon! Most switches have quit on my Kubota TGG and now the tranny is finished. Have hrs on it, the last 4 years have been a struggle to keep it going. Replaced all oil with Lucas tranny fix - got me the 4 years extra. Tried to get one from Hydro-Gear manufacturer but are discontinued.
Any chance anyone has done a conversion with a better tranny or rebuilt one of these? Yes, I know everyone's has the same problem but Kubota does not care. I have owned a Kubota tractor since and the tractors have never given me a moments problem. I would highly recommend before anyone spends a large amount of money on anything like this to give Kubota some time and look at their products. I had my tractor less than 3 weeks. The right front tire separated from the rim.
Called the sales person to inquire. I had no idea because the owner's warranty manual was not delivered with the tractor. Simply to me it could air it back up. No help offered. Aired it up but it kept losing air. Someone named Dennis called from the dealer and no help. Was told to take it to Les Schwab and have them look at it. They indicated the bead of the tire was defective. I do not think it was my responsibility to remove the tire and rim and have it repaired. What is the point of the warranty.
